Massage isn't only for Sportspersons, anyone can benefit. Occupational, emotional and postural stress can produce symptoms that will respond to massage treatment; it can also be useful when dealing with the results of accidents, muscle strains and other aches and pains.

Sports Massage should be part of every training regime. At Walnut Grove Clinic there are two areas where we can help:

Maintenance Massage

A regular massage treatment programme based on an understanding of anatomy and physiology and of the muscles used in a given sport. By concentrating on particular muscle groups the therapist can help you to maintain or improve movement range and muscle flexibility.

Rehabilitation

During sporting events muscles can suffer from cramp, tears and bruising, aches and pains can occur. Massage can help speed healing and reduce discomfort during rehabilitation.
